Well at lot has happened at our Marina, since our last edition, so much news to report from our small sleepy village.
The wedding went very well, and then Mick and Sammie headed west to start their new life together, and chase their dreams. Once again we wish them well.
Our new manager David Brown has arrived and is settling in quite nicely.
Our restaurant has changed hands. It's now called "Snappers on the Marina", and is operated by Callie a highly innovative and exciting chef. The food already has the town talking, and it's fast becoming "the" place to dine. Callie has created a new decor' giving an exquisite ambience, but retaining that casual, relaxed atmosphere. You cannot visit our marina without popping in to see Callie, even if it's just to say "Hello". In her menus Callie uses fresh local seafood, Mary Valley meats, and all locally grown produce.
Truely great food and a great place to spend a few hours.
Bill has been exceptionally busy on the hardstand with all doing there maintenance before heading north for the cruising season.
New to Tin Can Bay are “B1” and “B2”. With “B1” launched a couple of weeks ago and “B2” well under way, looking like being in the water in August. Watch this space for more info on this exciting new venture by a local.
Up and coming events include Dragon Boat Regatta in July – Seafood Festival in September and our own Flower Show in October.
Always feel free to call at the Marina on Saturday morning as our gates are open for your convenience, so come have a walk and enjoy the superb atmosphere and dream a little.
